I arrived two days after a 4-1 win against Arsenal at Highbury. 60,218 there. Should have been 60,219. Never forgave me fatha for his bad timing

Both my duaghters were born on a match day. The first arrived at 9am on the Saturday morning and we won in the afternoon and I got to the game as they had told me to go away and get some sleep as we had been there since early on the Friday morning (so I went home, got changed and went to the match and went straight back to the hospital after the game). We won. She is now a season ticket holder.

The second was a difficult labour and she did not arrive till 9pm at night and I ended up sitting in the delivery room listening to the game on the radio. We lost at home to Liecester and the midwife took great delight in telling me her husband was a Leicester fan. First game of the season and I missed it. Second duaghter is not a season ticket holder but is still a Sunderland fan.

Unfortunately there was no association football when I was born, but the Wellington beat the Tramcar in the final of the darts league cup.

Not me. But due to a match rearrangement I was nearly married on a match day. Happily I was able to rearrange the wedding.

I was born in 65 as well, got beat off Leeds at home first game of the season (2 days after my birthday).

Never realised Northampton Town were in the top division in those days

I was born on the day we (Boro) drew 2-2 with Stoke at Ayresome Park - many moons ago.
Born just round the corner in Middlesbrough General too.

Apparently , you drew 2-2 with Newcastle (away) the same day .

All in division 2 at the time.
