he hasnt signed yet. we might have competition now theyve decided to let him go.

and again the add one add up to 11mil so they will eventually pay 11m!!

If the terms come off which mean they have to pay the add ons it means they're back n the prem so it's a bargain still.

He'll need replacing if they get promoted.
he's not premier standard. He'll cost 10m at least to replace with wages, then he'll still need to be paid.
Over 25m gone on one position from your 70m promotion prize. With god knows how many other players to replace

people going on about it being a large chunk of our transfer budget also forget these deals are structured over years now...it won't be 12 million in a lump sum..it will be payable over a few seasons..they probably still paying us for henderson or mignolet

there will be very few clubs who will hand over a single big payment

Aye, that gets you two top strikers in the form of Graham and Altidore.
That is exactly the point. Gardner, Jozy, to name but two are what you get for less money unless you strike lucky.

It looks like it will be £10m down, probably in installments as they are these days, and then the rest in extras, which if we pay means it is worth it. Good deal all round IMO, for all parties.

I agree the market is inflated, I just think that as a club who desperately needs 4/5 PL level players, spending £14m on one isn't good business.
There are plenty of players you can get four four or five million. But they won't improve things much, if at all.

Spot on again Karl

You've been a stood up a lot have you..probably they can smell the stench of your negativity

Demba Ba is uninsurable and 6 years older otherwise as usual you're right on the money
Don't take everything so seriously Des.

He's a good player, but £14m is a lot of money. Hopefully there's more to bring others in. Fair play to Short and co for backing their manager though.
