Borini to AC Milan

Who said Bain was shit at his job? If it goes ahead that's £49 million from PvA, Pickford and Borini!!!
People keep throwing about the lazy cliche of 'knowing us we'll give him away etc'. Those you mention above and the refusal to sell Kone for what was a very decent offer show that no longer appears to be the case.
We've been awful for it for years but his is effectively a new regime and they've been quite open and vocal about the fact that it's something we're trying to address. The majority of players leaving, I reckon will be leaving on our terms (subject to what happens post takeover obviously).

That said, it represents a loss of between £2.8m-4.8m depending on who you believe about what we paid for him
Would expect a major loss on Djilibodji and Lens
We might get our money back on Khazri (£9m)
We should make money on Kone (£6m)

We'll be lucky to get 9M for Khazri. 6-7M imo

That's not how it works.
We have to agree with Borini to break his contract with us. The fee has nowt to do with that part.
Well his wages will be dropping by 40% as a result of being relegated. Our negotiation on that front is strengthened given the clause. His wage with Milan will be between the wage he earned for us in the Premier League and the wage he would earn in the Championship. We will be unlikely to have given him a penny.

Don't agree. If we signed him for £8m before the rise in value of players & he's still got 2/3 years on his contract we should be AT LEAST getting our money back. Unless I've got the contract length wrong?
I think he scored 2 league goals this season. We will not get £8m

Some of these players have brilliant agents. Ac Milan?

At least that is one more player off the wages. Never really performed to the standard he did whilst on loan

Hopefully.

I remember when we got relegated with SKP etc, and by the time we'd paid contracts off, we barely got a penny left over from the transfer fees.

He's 26. He's a striker. Hasn't scored more than 10 goals in a season and has been at Chelsea, Liverpool, AC Milan and Roma

Di Fanti must be a genius.

I think that was the beginning of these clauses, once bitten and all that.
