Borini to AC Milan

The bloke is only decent when he's giving his all, the main reason our support took to him. Really hardworking and capable of the odd good finish. Other than that though, he is distinctly average.

He's basically downed tools for a year and a half, sulking around like a cow at an abbatoir.

Good riddance ultimately to someone not willing to graft.

Bizarre this like.

You can just imagine the scouts at AC Milan taking bullet points on a jotter can't you?

  • Attitude - Terrible, tends to sulk when it isn't going his way, then scores a tap in every 10 games and celebrates like a kid trying to prove to the fans/Managers how good he is. Body language is bad too.
  • Consistency - Again, must be worked on, far too inconsistent, tends to go missing for large spells, then drifts out wide, then does a good link-up then goes missing for another 15 minutes
  • Shooting - Horrific, tends to always go for the FIFA finesse, where he tries to pass the ball into the net, which is all well and good if your technique is perfect - unfortunately - it's not, chances where he should be putting his laces through the ball he does a power-puff pass into the corner which tends to go wide or easily saved - we really need to get our attacking coaches to work on this trait with him ASAP.
  • Pace? N/A
  • Goal per game ratio? Awful for a striker, although he does get played out of position, he has consistently proven throughout his career he is not a natural goalscorer.
Overall assesment? Must Sign ASAP.

:D

A loan? Not the best when you need the money now. We had this with De Jong, Krul, Riviere, Saivet and Thauvin.

Aye it's good getting the wages off the books (if you do get all of it off) but what's the point otherwise?
Chances are we still owe Liverpool £4m of the £8m fee (Borini 2 years into a 4 year contract). The loan deal means it is Liverpool waiting for the final payment, Sunderland seeing very little of AC's money when the deal is finally completed.

The thing is though you've now lost your main 3 strikers, who actually is your senior striker at the club now. Just means you're probably going to have to buy 3 if not 4 strikers
