Borini.... I know I know

The club should of gave him a deadline, then when it didn't happen, move on but keep an eye on his situation. How some can't understand his decision bto stay and fight for his place at Liverpool, I'll never know. There's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be welcomed back for me, if it turned out the club wanted him now.
In so many ways I agree. What I disagree with is is decision to stay atLiverpool. Rodgers couldn't have made it more clear if he'd written it in the illuminations in Blackpool that he didn't want him. so he wasn't really staying to fight for a place.

What ever the pros and cons, and rights and wrongs, I can't believe this bloke still creates a numerous page thread a year after he left us a loan player
I'm the same, I still like fabio as a player. He was the only player I've seen score at Wembley, I greatly appreciate that, but people are still convinced we should put a bid in? imo we can find someone better

Unbelievable. Like I say, until he moves to another club, there will be a poisonous shadow over our football club.

I've never known fans almost begging a player to sign for a team.

He didn't want to come. Move on ffs.

I understand where your coming from but I guess he has been a major part in some of the highs in a largely forgettable few years of dross. His goal at the SOL v Mags, his composure and cheeky piss take with his pen at the Wonga, his finish agains WBA to gaurantee safety, and then of course that Wembley cup final moment. All fond memories and can't think of another player that has given us these highs in recent years. This is probably why his name gets so much air time on here.
Absolutely those moments you mention are unforgettable. But to an extent they stand out because they were in big/significant games. Danny Graham's goal of his bum at Everton was just as important in many ways.

As much as I would want to say fuck off for turning us down, I understand him wanting to try and force his way into the Liverpool team. I would still take him at that price as he would improve is straight away. Lens, Johnson and Borini as wide forwards would give us brilliant options.

Aye your right and I agree. I think Brendan Rogers showed his inexperience last summer. We agreed a fee on the Friday evening. Liverpool were flying out to the States on the Sunday. It was obvious Rogers wanted him off the books, Rogers also knew straight away that Borini did not want to come to us. Fergie or Cloughie would have left him behind and Borini would have known he had no future and moved from Liverpool last summer for around £14m ( maybe not to us )Rogers took him on tour and made him feel part of the team, giving Borini false hope. 12 months on he is being offered for £7m. Poor management in my opinion.

Stay off the drugs, son.... you will benefit in the long run.
Theirs a reason Borini has never been given a run upfront in his career anywhere he has been. Liverpools strikers struggled for goals all season and he still couldn't get in the team. Take away his penalties and his record for us was poor. Glossed over massively by the goals v the mags and in the cup final.

He obviously had confidence in himself to prove him wrong, so wanted to give it a go while he was still young and could at least say "I tried". I honestly have nothing against thew lad and for those moments he had here, I will always think positively about him. I would have him back here 100% and without hesitation.

He grafted his bollocks off and played well for us. Don't agree with this at all what you're saying mate. He was our biggest threat and best attacker when he was here.

He was decent for us outwide and worked hard. I'm talking about him purely as a striker.

I still think positively about him and his time for us, I still have a problem with his belief he'd make it at Liverpool when it was clear he wouldn't.

£7m is a far more realistic price for the lad however I still reckon you'd get more for that money on the continent. I like the idea of three forwards all comfortable across the entire forward line but Borini never wholly convinced me.
