Bologna

I’ve never understood going to a foreign country and all it has to offer then wanting to spend time eating English food with people from your home town.

in Italy you should try the proper local cuisine like Dolmio sauce in a jar and Cornettos.

Not much that would be particularly interesting for a teenager. There are the standard sights like the 2 towers, Portica di San Luca and the massive basilica. The area around the university has quite a number of cool shops which might appeal to young uns.

Decent place. As said its great to wander about.

Id recommend going up the tower, the stairs don't feel safe  but its worth it for the views.

We actually had a day trip to Venice on the train, so if you're there a few days a day out somewhere else could be worth it as well? Florence isn't too far as is Rimini for a day at the beach (depending on when you're going)

Got a class fridge magnet from there when I stayed overnight, was spaghetti in a pasta bowl with a fork coking out, the fork broke off a few months back.

Cool story I know and the moral is don’t buy a fridge magnet with a fork on it due to its poor quality.
I’m thinking Robert Carlyle will play me in the fillum.

I did bologna - verona - vicenza - padua - venice on trains, bologna was probably me favourite.

The tower is good like but I was absolutely shitting meself on the way back down.

Will be going to Florence (I’ve been before), been to Venice and Rimini. Might take Milan in for a day or two.
