The Bose Soundlink mini 2 is good. I used to have it in the bedroom and used for holidays. Was good for that.
Sonos are expected to released a bluetooth speaker soon. Can use WiFi when at home and bluetooth elsewhere. Looks very good.

I have 3 of those around the house. The sound is fantastic but they don't have an internal battery and need to be plugged in

Got to agree about the app mind. It's shite and they roundly get slated for it on their own forum. I just use auxiliary in or bluetooth
They're actually quite heavy so should sit fairly firm if you put on one of those sticky pad things designed for phones.
Cracking speaker like and clearly the speaker of the smb.
