Bloody elastic jeans

What's happened?? 😮

I'm a no fuss bloke who hates shopping but likes gear & I used to just buy Levi 511 every year for ages. Pick a colour & sorted. Didn't even need to try em on.

Got a couple pairs & they're like fkin clown pants. Might as well have bought em from mothercare.

Took em back & lass is saying "ah they've all got elastic in to get a better fit". You can't buy any that haven't got stretchy stuff in ffs. For fkin fat yanks I bet.

Anyone know decent jeans that are actually jeans that I won't pay daft cash for? Mate buys all this crackers Japanese stuff that looks solid but I'm not forking out on way to 200 for a pair like.

Its come in gradually then cos I got a few pairs that had since about just before lockdown & they aren't maternity pants like these were mind.

Put em, on thought decent & in 10 mins they're all over the place. Baggy as fck.

I just get mine off Amazon like.

Cheap and cheerful offbrand gear, comfy as owt.
Last ones were APT I think. Got some by Von Denim (I think those might have some elastic in anarl come to think of it but I always wear 32s with a belt) and BNWT.
Less than £20, do the job. And quite frankly the only place you can find the horrific wide bootcuts that I rock.

Nudie are £100 ish a pair .
Wrangler are making a comeback, matalan sell then
Pepe jeans always a good fit
Jack and Jones also

I’ve a pair jeans that must be 15 years old that have elastic on them 1% iirc.

Aye they are shit like. But at 30 quid, i just live with it. They are poor quality but the price reflects that. I just wear them to death, blow the gusset out and replace.

I usually buy wrangler or Levi's jeans and have never noticed any elastic. Do you mean in the waistband or the denim itself is elasticated. I thought you had to show proof of age when buying elastic waist pants. To prove you're over 80.

Jesus

Uniqlo is still my go to for jeans, selvedge jeans for £40. With Nudie I find the yolk is too low so the yoke is too low on the style I like so they always get ruined way to quickly. A.P.C also do great jeans but 3 times the price of Uniqlo so might as well just get them.
