boring course and wank magfest , however its the most prestigious race in the north east for a local athlete to win (never gonna win gnr) so attracts the best local athletes

Aye, the ham and pease pudding stottie and packet of crisps you’re handed at the end are class! Much better than some dried fruit cereal bar you normally get
 
37.22 for me, lost almost a minute when having to walk through the bottleneck at the start, that needs sorted for next year. It would make more sense walk the runners round St Nicolas Street onto Westgate Road where it's much wider.

Still thoroughly enjoyed it though, made sure I was singing Sunderland Aces instead. ;)
