Blame Cattermole man not big Sam!

thats not the point...the point is he has to back out/restrict challenges because he knows he's on f***ing tight rope for what would have been the next 40 mins as in this game....
if he's always thinking about that yellow card he's not concentrating on what he should be doing

He was booked against Villa - he wasn't subbed we went on to win, What's the problem?

Indeed. It's just as important that we replace him if we are ever going to progress from perennial strugglers though.

Perhaps - however that goes for just about every single player we have.

He's a bit of a conundrum in that he's our 'Water Carrier' and can't be faulted for effort.
Often gets out muscled in upper body confrontations.
I get the impression he is too well entrenched and more influential in the club than any player of his ability should be?

That's just a lie

He did 2 great challenges in the 5 mins before he was subbed

his 3 contributions to the match were trying to guard out a cross and spurs took the ball off him, failing to divert not a powerful shot then the inevitable booking (85th in top flight) gives Sam little option to chop him. As his replacement is utter shit Sam decides to strengthen behind him.

Thats how I see it. Looked miserable as sin when subbed, should try paying to watch his incompetance.
Don't blame either of them - get over it (and yourself!).

Behave man, he tripped the lad for no reason whatsoever. Big him up all you like but what's beyond dispute is that Cattermole is as thick as pig shit.
It was an innocuous little challenge that had been going on all game. OK their should have been a booking but one of theirs did exactly the same thing in the first half when we were about to break.

Too many dodgy streams!

so what you and others are saying is that he shouldn't get a yellow in the first place - don't you think that would affect his game and how he plays possibly backing out / restrict challenges? we need commitment and leadership in midfield and he provides that
