Catts and MVila did their job today how can anyone blame Cattermole for that defeat?
I thought his effort to clear the ball off the line was horrendous. If he does that we go in and 1-0 and it could be a different game, not exactly blaming Cattermole for the defeat but I thought he was awful today, completely off the pace.

Course I did marra, hes not good enough yet championed by our fans year after year. We'll never progress with him around - just cos his replacements are shocking doesnt make him a good player. Watch that 'clearance' again, if it was a mag we'd be pissing ourselves.

Transfer list him n see how many takers they are, the answer is very few.

I think we've been blinded by so much shit the last decade that anyone with the odd solid game is deemed a hero.
All that is your opinion and fair enough. To blame him for today though is complete and utter bollocks

i dont blame either of them tbh, we deserved nothing and got nothing against a team far better than ours

The only reason he hasn't got 2 yellows in a while is because after he picks up a yellow he doesn't put any tackles or challenges in at all. Complete passenger when he gets a yellow card. He was poor today too and should have done better with the first goal, anyone with a bit of composure would have cleared that.

unlucky with their goal (the spin on ball) but another needless yellow card that led to his substitution. our midfield definitely dropped in intensity when he went off which contributed to spurs dominating, especially their 3rd goal where no one closed eriksen down.

his 3 contributions to the match were trying to guard out a cross and spurs took the ball off him, failing to divert not a powerful shot then the inevitable booking (85th in top flight) gives Sam little option to chop him. As his replacement is utter shit Sam decides to strengthen behind him.

Thats how I see it. Looked miserable as sin when subbed, should try paying to watch his incompetance.
Claptrap

Hold on HERE , Catts is the man , watch him during the game, pulls all the strings, most vocal has everyone holding their positions, keeps talking ,,,,Keeps everyone on their toes. Loves the club..I wish me were like him

Once again as soon as he went off we fell to f***ing pieces. OP is a f***ing clown if he honestly believes what he's writing.
Don't like the abuse you are giving the OP but agree with point about Cattermole

He is one of our most effective players and we fell to bits when he went off today so no matter how much you or I for that matter think he needs replacing long term he is certainly needed in the short term and was needed at WHL today! BSA made a mistake taking him off and paid the price with a heavy defeat.

Anyone wondering perhaps he's trying to hide a injury or he's not 100% fit? He's been awfully slow since he's come back . I'm not blaming him for the defeat today. he didn't play as he normally would but it just shows how important he is when he went off and I think Sam spotted that today I hope

Minute Cattermole went off, the intensity dropped dramatically. Would never have taken him off just for the booking, it's not like he's not used to playing on a yellow.

I think the concern was possibly that he blamed himself for the equaliser - when he tries too hard to make up for a mistake that is when he is likely to pick up another yellow.

Still... I didn't think the change was a good idea.

over a season players will probably only be 100% fit for a 12-16 games and likely to be carrying knocks in other games or certainly throughout the week leading up to the game

Some of the replies on this thread:
As all of you are professional footballers (I'm assuming by the way you decide he's crap) you must find it easy to control a ball that's spinning towards you. Some of the newer footballs are sometimes extremely hard to control, I think the one for this season the worst for this.

Now like I said I don't think it was his best game, but once again, he comes off and we collpase. He's not the best in the league but it just shows how much we need him
