Blackburn in for Jon McLaughlin

I just don't like the stance of "we are too busy during January to even think about offering him a new contract". Does it take the entire staff to look at transfers, and sorting out the contract of a league one keeper, who will be on peanuts isn't possible?

Get what you're saying, but given how we're being run it probably does.

Don't think McLaughlin will be on peanuts either - he was quite sought after after his spell at Hearts and like one or two others who have come here could have possibly ended up in the Championship. That's another reason, likely, why although you might be able to justify a raise you have to be careful with what you offer - he's mid to bottom Championship at the absolute most.

Jon Mclaughlin has been a very mportant part of the recent good run and an integral part of the team and back 4/6, Selling him would be madness if we have realistic ambitions to get promoted. Burge, with Alnwick possibly as back up, would give us less chance of achieving promotion so why sell? (apsrt from the obvious that the owner will sell any asset when anyone is sniffing round)

Burge is poor from what I seen. McLaughlin is a solid league one goalkeeper that could play at a level higher, no bother.

He's never consistently played at any higher level. Maybe there's a reason for that. He's a good league one keeper, the best? Probably not.

If he was good enough he would of played in the championship other than one full season, where Burton survived by 1 points. Conceding 60+ goals.

Honestly don't get the love in for him. He's just a decent league one keeper. There's plenty of them.
