Bioshock or Borderlands (Nintendo switch)

I'm after a new game for the switch. Bioshock collection and Borderlands legendary collection are both released on the 29th and I can't decide which one to get. I loved Bioshock 1, thought 2 wasn't as good and didn't play infinite. I haven't played any of the Borderlands games properly. What should I go for?

Borderlands then, 1st is good 2nd is brilliant, tps is average.more game for your money with borderlands too.

Should I play them in release order or does it not matter?

Can do but there's not too much of a follow on plot from 1 to 2, I'd def play 2 before the presequel though or you'd lose some of the humour.

Bio shock for me, the third one is the best too and you haven’t played it.

Funnily enough during Lockdown I have went back and played Bioshock 1 and Borderlands 2.

Borderlands will last you longer. I think Bioshock is a better story

I seeI can get Bioshock 3 on it's own from the eshop for £16. Might just do that since I have played the other two.
