Bilsdale mast

I guess that Tunstall Hill must block the Pontop Pike transmitter for a chunk of people.... Maybe even Penshaw Hill as well.

There were no roof-top aerials in Peterlee when it was first built. Everyone had cable telly! There's still a few of the old boxes left if you look carefully. I had a cable running between mine and next doors' house when I lived in Granvile Road - couldn't figure out why, and then I realised it was for that.

Its funny, this topic has came up recently in Peterlee. By design there are no telegraph poles - all cables are under the ground in Peterlee.
But FTTP companies tried to bypass this cost by quietly installing their own poles a few months back. The people of Peterlee pushed back on them. Good, its pretty cool that there's no overhead cables all over the place here.
well i never knew that. just said to the mrs as she's from there and she's the same. just street viewed parts and bloody hell. (not that i doubted you mind)
every day's a school day.
useless piece of information but peter lee is an ancestor of mine.

fttp by any chance netomnia/youfibre? They have had a lot of places pushing back. We’ve just a load of chew with them

So they're asking new smaller transmitters in local area.
But nobody will be pointing towards these smaller masts?

How does that work, then?

I went from having zero Freeview channels last week, to gradually regaining 26 working channels, which was then reduced to just 21 channels by midweek, and then suddenly having zero channels again on Satda morning. 🤬
Anyhoo, I re-tuned my telly, when I got in from the match last night, and I now have over 50 Freeview channels working again, as well as almost 20 radio stations on Freeview. 👍
Someone at Bilsdale obviously remembered the old adage, that hell hath no fury, like a homicidal maniac, without his Freeview channels, on a Satda night. 👊 🪓 💣🔪🔫 ⛏️

There are still some areas across the tees valley without TV/Radio coverage. The mast caught fire on August 11.

Bit shit for the older generation who won't know how to access online services etc.

Doubt they'll get a refund either.

Aye I'm sure they'll be fuming without 25% of their £15 for this month being refunded.

TV channels still aren't working properly. Some people will have been without TV channels for 3 weeks. Bit shit isn't it?

Just presumed all poles n cables had been nicked!

Back to live in the North East and no picture since we got here a fortnight ago but the TV licence debit got taken out today. Sky argument looking more likely by the minute. Got some radio stations mind.
