Biggest surprise next season

Next season will pretty much be Ta Bi's first after his injury cut this season short. I'm not expecting too much from the lad as he's still young, and will need time to adjust to the league. We need a more experienced Right winger of PL quality in my opinion.

I can see Angulo taking the left spot. He's played most of his football there, and Regis mentioned that he's also payed LWB, so that will satisfy Regis's need for his wide men to be defensively sound. After Angulo, we're pretty well stocked on the left with Talbi, and Mundle.

Rigg will be in the middle eventually I reckon. He's only been getting minutes out wide because of injuries to Traore and Ta Bi.
This 100%
I feel he is being groomed to take the mantle from Xhaka. Obviously still a work in progress but the lad never hides, puts his foot in, scores à goal, looks for a pass, has probably best natural technique on the books. He needs to be more assertive and probably gain a yard or 2. But make no mistake, he is a gem!
RLB says nice things about all his squad. It’s part of his role. Not saying nice things got Mowbray the sack.
It’s up to the coaching staff to make better use
of wingers. We can’t keep stockpiling as we are in the hope one will morph into some sort of CR7

In fairness Talbi is our joint second top scorer and is only 20, so he’s had a decent first season already really.

If he had played off the left more consistently we likely would have seen a few more goals as well imho.

So hopefully next season we get to see more of him as he keeps developing. Angulo should provide good competition there for him. So left wing isn’t really a concern.

Right wing is a different matter…. Very very few goal contributions have come from any player in that position this season. In fact we have struggled there since amad’s loan ended really. This position is one i’d love to see us properly invest in this window which will allow Ta Bo to get out on loan to get some minutes at say championship level, as he has only played in Israeli leagues so far where the gap in quality with the English leagues is huge.

Mundle needs a season out on loan as well really to prove his fitness and get some consistency. He offers little but homegrown status at the moment.

It’s not even age with Ta Bi it’s experience in a decent league. Could see a mile off how far away he was. I’d say he needs a loan down the ladder.

I think Mundle could surprise next season too, he was massively overeager to impress and I think he'll be fine if he can calm down a bit.
Not sure he’s the answer long term, but would be delighted if he proved me wrong

Surely if you can predict a surprise, it isn’t a surprise.
It’s to do with majority view

A few people here predicted top half finishes for us, or staying up comfortably. It’s a surprise to English football, whether it was possibly predictable to some or not
