He said recently in an interview on Talksport, when discussing his refusal to go back to the shit tip, that you should never go back in football.

For that reason I don't think he would consider us but also he likes a juicy budget and he isn't getting that in League 1.

In a parallel universe if he did come back I'm pretty sure he would have 6ft+ players with strength all over the pitch and we wouldn't be getting out musceld and bullied as we are now.
He doesn’t need to be visiting Accrington at this stage in his career. He’ll want a cushy mid prem gig

Wish some people on here would realise this is a project by a couple of chancers to make as much money as possible by selling anything with a price then getting out with a profit we could be here decades .

BSA was the best fit for us as a club since Reid.
He had no airs and graces, didn’t try and soft soap fans and knew what was expected of a Sunderland team.
Had he been appointed instead of Bruce or O’Neil when Short was still interested I think we’d have had some great seasons.

I think those two games against Chelsea and Everton are up there in my top 20 of all time games.

Fuck me, was it only three years ago.

how did moyes take that team down?
I know at the time people called the players lazy but that wasn't it- they performed for Sam- Defoe was still scoring- we had a top quality goalkeeper- no one forced him to spunk 20 million on N'Dong and djillibodji
it's depressing to remember that M'villa was less than half of N'Dong's price and wanted to come

people saying Ross is worse than moyes or wanting moyes back need to give their head a shake

We lost one game (Leicester at home) in f***ing ages under him, who on earth complained about the style?:lol:

That home game against Everton. That should have been the start, we all thought it was the start of great things

Kone and Kaboul as a partnership were outstanding
We had Kirchoff and M'Vila in the middle
Defoe up top

The spine of the side had quality.

Then that twat came in and said we were in a relegation battle after the first home game (Boro). Should have been SHOT for that comment

Sorted for you marra

I’m pretty sure when Keane left he was begging for the job but Short wouldn’t talk to him and kept on Sbragia and then Allardyce went to Blackburn a couple of weeks later. Possibly Short’s biggest most understated mistake

Would have got promotion last season and would this season, but people moaned about his style of football, come home Sam.
He was a excellent manager for us but you’re dreaming if you think he’ll come anywhere near league 1. He’s retirement age now and won’t take any big projects on. He makes millions easy by taking over prem teams and xmas and keeping them up.
