In the mid 70s they were up among the leaders for a season or 2.
They played hard defensive football but Charlton seemed to find a way to make it work.
Mind I don't mind him being small. I'd have said he'd be over 6 foot. Maybe when you saw him he'd went into " wee book". (My Scottish Granny said that happened to people when they got older and seemed to shrivel up)
