Big Garden Birdwatch is the world’s largest garden wildlife survey. Every year, hundreds of thousands of nature lovers take part, helping to build a picture of how garden birds are faring.

Spend an hour watching the birds in your area between 26th and 28th January. Record the birds that land, then submit your results to the RSPB.

Excellent. I'm staying in Weybridge on the river that weekend. Hopefully, get a kingfisher or two.

For all you people interested....there's an app called Merlin. It's brilliant
 
Well that was disappointing. 2 Woodpigeons, 2 Robins, 1 Blackbird, 1 Blue tit. Half an hour before I started I had a flock of Longtail tits visit, I was almost tempted to add them in but I didn't.
