Big Bang Theory to end.

I agree so much that I didn't even want to use the word in my post.
Knowing two fifths of sod all about autism, what is it he does that’s autistic?

Asking as I assume the rather good young Sheldon will have the same issue...

Used to watch it all the time but just catch it when I'm flicking through channels now. Be sad to see it ended. Looks like it started when I was 24 so it being billed as one of the longest running sitcoms is just another reminder of how old I'm getting :(

  • Those old-fashioned studio sets look ridiculously dated in 2018.
  • It's complete shite compared to Silicon Valley.
The sets are part of that old school sitcom charm man. I love Silicon Valley but it's not without fault. Goes round in circles with the storylines.

From the first hit on google I found What Does Autism Spectrum Disorder Look Like in Adults?

  • Difficulty interpreting what others are thinking or feeling
  • Trouble interpreting facial expressions, body language, or social cues
  • Tendency to engage in repetitive or routine behaviors
  • Only participates in a restricted range of activities
  • Strict consistency to daily routines; outbursts when changes occur
  • Deep knowledge of one particular topic, such as a certain branch of science or industry
That's just from the first section, and exactly what the original Sheldon character was like

Mike Judge has more talent in his fingernail than all the Big Bang writers put together.

They can deny it as much as they like. That doesn't make it true though.

That's your opinion, but the actors themselves don't believe it's autism. It could be argued before though and it's pretty clear to see why.
I think they've said it's not autism, because they don't want to label anyone

Used to really like this show but I thought that it went off the boil in recent series, the main cast were reportedly on $1miillion per episode in 2016!

US series The Big Bang Theory will air its final episode in 2019, ending one of the longest-running sitcoms in US history.
The programme's 12th and final season will premiere on 24 September and is expected to conclude in May.
Set in Pasadena, California, the series originally focused on two physicists and their aspiring actress neighbour.
The Big Bang Theory has attracted more than 18 million viewers every year since its sixth season aired in 2012.
It reportedly averaged 18.6 million viewers per episode in its 11th season, more than any other show on US television.
The production teams and CBS said in a joint statement they were "forever grateful" to the fans.
"We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show's success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close," it read.
The series has won seven Emmys from 46 nominations, including four Outstanding Lead Actor wins for Jim Parsons, who plays the socially inept character Sheldon Cooper.

Any chance some kind poster will show me how to post links please?

All I can say is Penny is deserving of a place in the "Random Lasses You Want to Buck" thread. ;)

If you fast forward through the adverts each episode lasts about 20 minutes. Time to call it a day, it's run its course. They ran out of ideas a while back so most, if not all, of the humour is dependent and reliant on familiarity with the foibles of the main characters

I've used Sheldons' spider man speech to Amy on our lass
Raj's sister did nowt for me.
Sheldon's sister, deffo.
Sheldon's Mam?!
I like a Indian bird like, you can't tell me the beautiful voice and the mystique of Howard's mam doesn't make your ball bag tighten.

How’s that relevant? It’s the same for every half hour programme. All hour long programmes are only 42 minutes long
