Best portrayal of a dead icon in film

I absolutely detest Yesterday.
But I’m sure I’ve seen footage of literally John inviting a stranger in for a cuppa while he was recording with Phil Spector 🤣
The bloke was weird and they couldn’t wait to get shot of him mind. Probably in his best interests considering Spector was murderously insane anyways
Maybe it was this?
Aye ,it's rings a bell ,was it the place the Imagine video was shot ? He just started talking to him in the car park

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking.
Not sure what format the programme came out in. Maybe they made a documentary?
That lad who’s got over a hundred Beatles books would know. Can’t remember his name on here? @heavenuphere?

I've seen it on one of those 3 minutes Facebook pop up videos

It's from when the full length Imagine film was being filmed, which I've not seen so I don't know if it's on that but it's on the 1988 documentary. The full clip has John asking him if he's hungry and inviting him in.

Thought Elvis was decent. Legend is one of my favourite films also.
Hated Elvis. Detested everything about it.
Robert Carlyle who was in Trainspotting and loads of others
Wow, I didn't actually realise that. I'm honestly astounded. I just had to check IMDB, cos I didn't believe you.
Liam Neesons son in Love Actually who played Malcolm McLaren in Pistol.
Canny shout.

Surprised nobody had mentioned Andy Surkis in Sex and Drugs and... Not the best film ever made but he played the part well.

Redmayne as Stephen Hawking or Denzel as Malcolm X, right up there, too.
