Best place for new kitchens?

Anyone got a new kitchen recently? Better to go with magnet, Howdens a DIY place/builders merchant such as B&Q/Wickes/MKM or find a local specialist company/installer?

I’ve used these guys a couple of times and they are superb DIY Kitchens you do need to do your own measuring and fitting, price & quality is much better than those listed above imho.

Another vote for them. By far and away the best quality you will get for the money. We looked round everywhere and the same kitchen from the like of Wren was coming in at more than double the cost.

I've recommended them loads to friends and everyone who has bought them has loved what they have got. Show room is worth a dodge down as well if you have a spare day.

agree with all of that, we put one in our last house, then when we moved we didn’t think of using anybody else. We have done them same in recommending them and everybody who has used them has been delighted. The showroom is a couple of hours away but definitely worth the trip.

Porters up in Silky did ours, not a big showroom, but organised it all and done a crackin job. If you wanting stone for tops, have a look at Nostalgia Fireplaces through Washington, brilliant service.

Just had mine delivered from them this week and I'm really happy with the quality/price. They have a 3D tour of the showroom if you can't get down. All units come pre-assembled as well which is useful.

Someone at work just had wren for hers and couldn’t say anything good about them, Taken over a month to fit; wrong units shite customer services

Just bought one from Magnet. Went there on the back of Which?'s recommendation. The units look great, design and service blew Howdens out of the water and came out cheaper for more units.

Unless you personally know a fitter with a Howdens account who won't whack on a cut for themselves, I'd give them a miss. Their pricing is all smoke and mirrors, more so than everywhere else.

I started off with Wren, then when they couldnt measure up properly after 3 attempts I ditched them. Wouldnt go near them.
