Best International ground in the country

What and why?

Only done Riverside and Old Trafford (and Lords but not for a match) so can’t really comment.
Edgbaston best for atmosphere by a mile.

Lords best for a bit of prestige and history.

Cant beat CLS for setting although it's been absolutely terrible for getting drinks when I've been.

My favourite is headingley though. Decent bars near by, local, always a decent crowd and improvements to ground are decent.

Durham playing at Lords in September, hoping to make the trip. However I’m sure I read somewhere that after the ashes game in August there replacing the Compton and Edrich stands, so could be sitting in a building site!

The St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury:cool:

Although the original Lime tree was replaced, and despite recent building work, it's the most beautiful cricket ground in the world and home to Kent CCC:cool:

Durham looked fantastic yesterday, the Kiwis I spoke to loved it.

However I thought a lot of the signage particularly around the pavilion area and main bar looked quite cheap and tacky. Sort of plonked on as an after thought.
