Alishaan on station Road is better, but it’s a few quid more expensive
The one in Grangetown: Matab's, mate.
Rick Stein and Todiwala known to work there lowkey.
Roshunie lanka, vinda, phall. Medium hot.
That’s nowhere near Penshaw butchers?
Overpriced tat that people convince themselves is quality
As for the best Indians, Ruchi is the correct answer
Bhaji in Houghton is spot on.
Nawabb on ettrick Grove is our favourite. The one next to Wavey is good too
Wavey just edges it for us.main courses better but starters are better at nawaab
Recommendation, that, mate.
Linked to Goa IIRC.
If I’m at work we usually order from Sultan’s in Grindon. It’s class. Probably only because it has to cater for the pallets of the Northsiders that work in Doxy.
Shan’s in Silksworth.
Also championed by our in house glutton @TheWanderer.
The correct answer is Vachan Farringdon. I moved to Houghton two year ago,but they're all shite around here, so I still use Vachan. Saying that Penshaw Tandoori's not bad.
MK Curry in the heart of the Bengali ‘ghetto’ of Eden Vale. Never had a bad one from there, and that’s the only one in Sunderland I can say that about. Top quality.
