Best england team for years.

I thought that Clyne was very poor (apart from Vardy assist) with his usual range of sloppy passing which loses possession time after time.

I thought the team looked better without Sterling who is also guilty of continually wasting possession. Completely overrated, some might think it harsh but thank fuck he's injured.

Henderson's energy brings something to the team but he definitely needs a bit more composure in the final third.

Wellbeck looked unfit and was struggling to match his usual high standards (as he's clearly a quality player). Dele Alle had a sensational game and has got to be in the starting side for the Euros.

Generally a much improved England performance and much to be optimistic about for the Euros. I only hope that Woy doesn't revert to type and go all cautious, picking players (like Rooney) on their reputation rather than current form.

Sometimes I feel as if it's just you and me defending him...

That sense of togetherness he's fostered won us the game tonight. That's the difference between his team and the Capello side that went 2-0 down against Germany and just crumbled.
You know the drill. "Roy" if we win, "Woy" if we lose.

I remember Germany being put on their arses in their own backyard 5-1 and that turned out shite anarl. The Germans got to the final and we wimped out being found wanting a pair of bollocks.

Depressing to think we had three of them.....

We had one and couldve had Rose for £1-2m more than wed initially expected. How much have we wasted on LBs since? We still havent got a LB ffs!!!!

Good performance by the younguns. I watched the under 21 ones before hand . That kid Miller , what a fkn debut.

We've got to let this team have a run now. They should be the starting eleven every game from now til the euros. The lads who get picked almost by default should be very worried, but unfortunately Hodgson's already told them publicly that as long as the can walk they'll start, so as usual with England we won't see the best team in a tournament til someone gets injured.

Don't think we had any chance of getting Rose even if Spurs would have sold I don't think he would have come.

We did play excellent like, tbh we do play more exciting football When Rooney isn't in the team. Hopefully everyone who played last night are fully fit for the euros.

Trouble is when it comes to The Euros I believe Hodgson will reinstate the old guard.....you know.....those players who have failed at every major tournament

Why do you believe that? For the last two years Hodgson has got it absolutely spot on, that cannot be denied, why would he go out to fail at the Euros after having a 100% record up to now?

Some people seem to have a deep seated dislike for him and that's that.

Don't dislike the guy at all.....despite being a "safe pair of hands" political appointment I think he's a nice bloke.....I just think when it comes to The Euros he will bring the likes of Rooney, Walcott, Wilshere (and his treatment table) ahead of the young guns.....another abject failure on the big stage Id guess

Like who?

Answered it elsewhere but Rooney, Walcott, Wilshere if they can get anywhere fit....

No way will Walcott start, Rooney is probably the only one of those who will.
