All three equally inept..but even more baffling is the fact that all 3 are still making a (no-doubt) lucrative living from footie...Camp, Steele and Ruiter and any order (and that's in watching for nearly 60 years), they make Hesford look like Gordon Banks.
That’s because Camp usually wasn’t close enough to the ball to actually throw it into the net.Slightly unpopular opinion but Steele was worse than Camp for me. The amount of times he just threw the ball in the net was unreal.
Shows the age of the forum where Monty isn't mentioned until page 2!Monty will always be number one but we've had some quality in that position, Turner, Sorenson, Mignolet, Poom, Given and for most chantable name Siddall.
Worst is between Camp and McDoughnut.
This.Best - Sorenson
Worst - tim carter![]()
Macho was terrible. He had one good (exceptional) game.Theres plenty competition for the worst. We arguably had 3 of them in 1 year a few seasons ago with Steele, Camp and that Dutch lad.
Tommy Sorensen in his prime was my favourite in my lifetime. We've had a few decent ones to be fair with Gordon, Mignolet etc and I quite liked Jurgen Macho, he played an absolute blinder in a 0-0 draw at Anfield once if I remember rightly.
I still remember that goal Steele conceded Ipswich away. Wasn't even a shot just completely fucked it up. Sums him up.That’s because Camp usually wasn’t close enough to the ball to actually throw it into the net.
Hesford wasn't half as bad as some people make out, gets a bad press imo.No way Hesford was worst. Lots worse than him.
Camp worst. Sorenson best though theres quite a few keepers I liked

MONTY. campSorenson, Mignolet and Gordon best
Camp, Steele and Burge worst
Cant disagree with any of that.Hesford wasn't half as bad as some people make out, gets a bad press imo.
Camp was the worst for me, closely followed by Steele.
Possibly not the most consistent, but my favourite was Craig Gordon.
For the best, close between Turner and Sorenson.
