Benzema offered £395mil a season by Saudi club

Exactly like I said when he’s 35/36

it'll be a slow progression like

Fair enough Benezema 35, albeit he would still be playing Madrid

but people like Zaha and Kante turning down big money premier league deals to move is still someit, they are only 30

No doubt you will laugh at that, but it is burying your head in the sand a bit like.

Also players do leave in their prime, I remember Oscar went from winning league with Chelsea to China in his prime, although the money soon ran out in China, it won't run out here

heres the problem. People are just not interested in watching the Saudi League, generally speaking

much of the appeal of football is about the drama, glamour and history - Man U, Barcelona, Liverpool, Bayern etc. Most people couldnt name you 1 Saudi team and are not going to care about Al Hilal vs Al Sadd

China was spending a shit tonne a few seasons ago and they never got the viewer base in they expected. same with the Russian League with Anzhi/Zenit a few years ago

IMO their end game would be a new "Super"league, we know the euro teams who are already desperate for the money, they will bankroll it but will include their 4 owned teams.
Even if the Premiership teams decide to veto it, we all know one team that will join whether they like it or not.

Oscar wow that global superstar like Zaha 🙄

For the few years it lasts many finished players and average players will take their money

Will never be a global watchable league though

Kante is almost 33 and barely got a game last season

Will Kane go there next year ? As they only seen to like free transfers

A statement from the group said: "Saudi operatives played a role in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and now it is bankrolling all of professional golf."

Those same people now own Newcastle not just Newcastle United but the whole city now including the council and the people who live there, imagine if on September 11th you said this would happen!

Can't wait till they use Newcastle has a feeder club for world heavyweights Al Saad and Al Hilal.🤣🤣

Wuh got wuh klerb back.🤣🤣

Could they not sign players for ridiculous money and then loan them to Newcastle with no wage requirements? Circumvent the FFP?

Shouldn’t be able to but the premier league aren’t going to stop them so yes. They’ve employed a lawyer to focus on FFP and ways around it.

Benzema, Ronaldo and Messi etc I can understand why they'd pay huge money to attract them to the league, glamour players that scores goals but Kante? Hundreds of millions for a player to play short 5 yard passes and make a few interceptions in each match.

They could, but they'll want the Saudi league to take off and be the biggest in the world hence buying the 4 clubs.

Speeding up the ruination of football ! For anyone to be able to and consider paying footballers like Zaha £15m a year or indeed Karim on the insane amount he’ll get is an absolute disgrace.

This isnt supply and demand, China tried and failed to build a league by doing a similar thing but Saudi have a similar nothing league but insane amounts of money !

Would love to see it go stupidly wrong for them all !

You’ve just made kante sound shite there like 😂😂😂

Doing him a massive disservice

It probably will go wrong. It’s a fad.
Similar as you say China. But remember the USA in the 1970’s doing exactly the same thing signing Pele, Beckenbauer and…..Rodney Marsh? 😳
It collapsed big style as they had little history or interest and only threw money at it.
If the Saudi public are genuinely interested it may work but it could all go tits up in ten years time.

Let them crack on for me like.
It will be interesting when games start getting played over there

I think you might be correct. Afterall there have already been Italian and Spanish cup games there.

Pure conjecture but there is nothing stopping them putting on a winter club competition with huge prize money. We all know FIFA and UEFA are corrupt so they would sanction it and clubs won't object if money is significant. They will have their own representative to cheer on, in the terms of the mags.
