Benidorm looks like its suffering

Been to Benidorm once, bit grotty and rough in places but some nice parts too, the place is what you want it to be really as it caters for pretty much any type of holiday. I wouldn't be upset if I never went back mind.

The old town area is very nice. Some really nice bars and restaurants. The strip, on the other hand, is the opposite.
That's no different to the likes of San Antonio, though. The West End is minging but the rest is beautiful. The West End and The Square are perfect, if that's what you want from a holiday, but they're relatively small areas, in reality.
People should try going to Alanya in Turkey, if they want to get some perspective. It's every bit as bad/good (depending on your perspective) and depraved as The Square, San An, Aya Napa or anywhere else you can think of, but it's primarily Scandinavians so it doesn't really get a mention. I've seen a lot worse "gannin's on" there than I have living here or living in Ibiza.
