One big score in 2nd X1 CC and moderate elsewhere in the last 12 months. It's got to be a concern regardless of his youth.

I was at that game at Burnopfield where he got the 158 for the 2nds against a strong Lancs side and he looked a class act but like you say other than that he struggled and in the One Day Trophy looked out of his depth.
