Ben Gibson

Tarkowski and Mee are an experienced, solid partnership tbf - hard to get in ahead of one of them.
This. There's been talk on here with people questioning why new signings haven't been given more game time after about three matches, but Dyche likes to stick to his guns when it comes to naming his team. Been the same for Vydra, nowhere near the first starting XI but they'll keep him there for backup.

Vydra is the perfect example of a player who is too good for the championship but not good enough for the Premier league.

We wanted to sign him on loan in January but Burnley were demanding we paid 100% of his wages and we said no.

Apparently Gibson wasn't too happy. Not sure if it's been a case of Gibson being disruptive or not but Burnley approached us asking for us to allow him to train here.
Really weird that they wouldnt do a deal to pay a percentage of his wage and get him some first team games. Which could have boosted his potential sale value. Get them not wanting to let him go to a relegation rival but strange with you being in a different league.

Burnley fan told me they were trying to sort out a loan with Watford but they wouldn't agree to a fee in the summer to make it permanent. He felt aggrieved about not getting a move so caused a stink in training, was told to train with the u23s so he did. And caused a stink there. So Burnley just want him away from the club.
