Beer Prices

Nope and I work in the trade.
So do I and seen a list from my stocktaker listing all major breweries with a date of 06/ 02 to increase prices, however did notice asahi had gone up last week quite a bit...we knew it was coming but reality is how much more can a pub stick on the price of an already rising pint

Poster put a decent post up a few weeks ago about pub overheads etc and the thin margins they are working to but somethings gone wrong somewhere when you can buy a load of cans for a £1 or so each or a bottle of Bacardi for £13 in the supermarket and it costs £6/7 a pint in a pub. Best of British culture could get laid to waste here if we’re not careful 😢

To be fair some bars have been taking the piss for years, what difference does another say 20% make.

Years ago the margin between cans and a pint in the pub were pretty small, they're ridiculous now.

That's something to go and see though, I bet a lot of places are dead because people would rather sit in with a few cans

It will be interesting to see how it goes like. Mingebags have been sitting in with cans for 20+ years already and the pubs have been Ok. Obviously there will be a tipping point but it will vary from establishment to establishment
