so basically it will be a smaller scale Oasis gig like the one at the stadium where they left used needles and drugs all owa the stadium....canny, freebies if your a cleaner

No, he is doing an unplugged set in his Doctors waiting room ( via the phone)

Iyl2u sings the classics
hows he doing it via the phone if the phone is unplugged???

The phone is mobile, despite the fact it goes nowhere.

First pint, there is a load of Liam wannabees about like. Saying that, there were thousands of fred perry polos at the specials & harrington jackets at SLF.

Great gig. Probably played all the known songs too early though. finished with Sons Of The Stage. Didn't play Across the Universe.

my cousins text from the gig simply said "was alright, thought theyd be better".

not sure what he expected. you have bloke standing there playing the songs off the record and liam strutting about belting them out. basically no frills and let the music do the talking.

only way they could be off form is if liams vocal was shite (which it can be as tours drag on over months and months). seen them about 4 gigs into this tour and he was tremendous.

saying that, my cousin likes bands who have guitarists lying on the deck spinning about and all that bollocks

It wasn't amazing, but still was a very good gig. As I said, I think they should have held back one of the singles until last, but apart from that, was everything that was expected.

Saw an interview saying they're after doing the second album very soon. That'll improve the live set as they'll have twice as many songs to choose from.

New bands with one album play for roughly 45mins usually, Beady Eye played a lot longer than that. They played more or less every tune they had. It'll be better when they've got more to choose from.

lad at works take on it:

Quality gig! His voice sounded amazing like – he was right in the mix with the crowd as well, not like oasis where he stared through ya – think i prefered that tho cos he was jumping in the front of the crowd last night.

You do talk some shite mate

i said the rest of the band just sand there and play. so its liam that basically makes it or breaks it. my cousin likes bands that put on a show. explain which parts of that is 'talking shite'.

Album wasnt as bad as i thought after a few listens, however he's gone to shit (Liam), so wont be bothering. Still should be a good night if you want to spend the night with drunk, coked up Liam wanabees, acting like pricks!

lad at work disagrees:

His voice was mega like probs as good as ive heard him for actual singing and it was loud enough to drown out gem, which is always good!!

wish i went now

Listened to the album thinking it would sound exactly like the Beatles, it did and Liam Gallagher is well past his best.

T'was a tremendous evening mate.

They sounded great live and the crowd was right up for it.
