Cockney gets in our clerb calls us faaaking norvern monkeys, he is a black cockney spurs supporter, its all taken in good fun and he gets plenty in return.
Just a few mins of greetings and bit of crack nobody gets upset.

It’s possible that there wasn’t

But then again, there are plenty of other incidents to focus on.
And those who are caught seem to get punished.

Given theres an ‘accusation’ on almost daily basis in sport these days there doesn’t seem to be that many being pinpointed.
Why wasn't more made of this BTW
When a black man can bellow into a white mans face that he’ll never lose to a white boy without any real repercussions an unsubstantiated allegation of racism is probably deemed irrelevant mate.

How are your cricket mates?

Camera can zoom in on anyone in crowd now.

Also how the fuck out of tens of thousands of people can a bloke on the pitch hear a person making a monkey noise!

Haway man.
You're making me nervous Mr Jardine. Thought you were playing devil's advocate but not so sure. You can focus on the false claims if you like, but I'm concerned about the very real racism that exists and I've seen and heard for myself on hundreds of occasions.

Possibly the recent political climate has enabled some to be more overt with their racist agenda.

There’s a lot more incidents being reported than ever before.
Everyone has a mobile phone to record these days plus tv camera’s all over to pick up just about everything (except when it comes to VAR) Don’t think there’s a rise, it just hasn’t completely gone. There’s alway the odd neanderthal at every game, to tar the many.

Think its a bit more than that as far as Chelsea are concerned
They have a long history of association with extreme right wing groups
I'm up in Glasgow They are always trying to be pally with the UVF/UDA element at Rangers
Not sure they all fully understand what they are getting involved with mind.
Some of the lads that come across from Belfast are not your run of the mill hooligans.

Anyway "Two lads doing a nazi salutes" is two too many in my book
I think it's good they're drawing focus to it and two is too many. Just feel there has been massive focus on race the last twenties years whilst worse crimes are committed across Europe that go generally unnoticed.

Its only the past year or so that Italian officials are starting to take it seirosuly.

If the FA had the same views as the Italian fa and culture they'd get pelters for it

There was a t**t in front of me at WHL once – the game that Mboma scored in when we lost to Spurs in March 2002, I think – doing the hissing noise.

I'm not one to stand by when shit like this happens (not least as members of the other half's family – NO! – were victims of the Armenian Genocide) so told him to shut up. He did, but stated laughing and gooning around at the end of the game. He was in with our lot. Just hope he wasn't a Sunderland fan, but a guest. I'll never forget his weasly little mush.

I've got Spurs mates who use the Y-word at Tottenham. Some are Jewish, some aren't. I'm not comfortable with it. From what I can tell, it's becoming less accepted at Spurs to use the term these days.

He is just playing his usual game by being contrary to anyone who gets offended by racists making offensive comments.
He will soon be calling those who 'get offended on behalf of others' soft shites or some other cretinous comment.
Best ignore and not to respond.

You were probably just behind me, the bloke you refer to was a few seats along. We also pointed out to him he was a tw@t and that one of our group was married to a girl of Jewish decent. Unfortunately I'm fairly certain he is a Sunderland fan.
Generally there isn't as much racism publicly as there was in the seventies and eighties but there is certainly a more vocal intolerance of minorities than there was perhaps ten years ago. Not entirely surprising when our own prime minister thinks it's okay to bandy around derogatory terms in relation to race and sexuality. I have no doubt this has emboldened certain people to be more overtly vocal.

I do wonder when i am going to be shocked by this news...... nope still not.
