he dominates the thoughts of this forum more than any other individual though. It would be good if he was on the radio regularly so the SMB could get its Joey Barton fix. Cant deny hes a character either, and the game needs more of them

 It really doesn't.

It was funny as fuck when he talked about Steven Taylor though.

Said that Taylor said he'd seen Gervinho knock his teeth out and elbow him but that this was typical Taylor as he sees what he wants to see and "isn't the sharpest tool in the box".

Charles N'Zogbia and Sophie Ellis Bextor both trump him easily!

He's not a character. He's a toe-rag

Gone right down in my estimations. Had won me over by seemingly calling it as he sees it which was at least refreshing - not in this case.

He's guilty of not calling it as you (mackems) want to see it.

Joey did nothing wrong.

He's changed how he 'saw' it since last night man!

Were you not embarrassed by the way he went down and rolled around from the slap? Or how he was filmed saying he was punched with a closed fist? Or picking the fella up and hanging on to his collar?.....all in defence of fair play!

Yet when he clearly punched Pederson last year he signalled that it was merely a slap. Perhaps he just gets the 2 mixed up? ;)

To say Barton did "nothing wrong" is ridiculous. He got bloke round the throat and risked being sent off unnecessarily. And his play acting was exactly the sort of cheating that makes it difficult for referees.
Having said that, I don't really think either deserved to be sent off. Was spot of handbags and been blown out of proportion due to who was involved.

He grabbed Gervinho by the neck, then 'dived' after getting a slap which is exactly the same crime he's been whining about all day

For the record Gervinho didn't even dive, he was clearly clipped. He did deserve to go for the 'slap' though

Song and Barton should have seen red too
