Barton leaving mags

To start with, the day Alan Smith leaves will be cause for celebration. I'd pay off his contract now tbh.
Barton is no way certain to leave, regardless of what Willie says.
Harper, Lovenkrands, Ameobi and Williamson cost a total of £1m. We already have two brilliant young keepers to step up when Harper leaves, Shola and Loven will be no great miss and Williamson won't be leaving soon and he's been great value for money tbf.
But Colo, no resale value? He's one of the top CB's in this league man.

Williamson cost 3 mil didn't he?

you are right like sideshow bob is deffo in the top 50 or top 100 or top 1000....there is no definition... what do you mean my one of the top???

McKay has just been on BBC's TotalSport and indicated that Barton was prepared to take a wage cut, but was looking for a 4 year deal.

He confirmed that there was no offer of any type on the table from NUFC, so clearly the club must want shot of him.

I realise that football agents are not noted for their honesty, but even so I'd be very surprised if he would come out with a pack of lies live on air.

I don't think you understand. You don't need Smith, but he could have been sold for 3-4m to a promoted team last season. But the problem was his wages, which you would have to pay to him for another year and then let him leave for free.
Barton will leave and you would pay his current wages for another year before you let him leave for free.
Harper is you best keeper. Loven should be replaced so you would need to pay a few millions, Shola won't be a great miss because he won't leave. He would be in your starting 11 and he won't have a resale value. It's great that Williamson won't leave...at least for Sunderland.
Colo would be 30 years old and a half. Who would pay more than 2-3m on a CB who's almost 31?! By the way, Colo is the most overated player at Newcastle, he has absolutely no offside sense and no height. He's only relying of his pace, a feat that he's losing fast.

Good luck!

Get your facts straight Pancho.

He was after a 4 year deal but with a year suspended, automatic parole after 18 months and that the time he's already served is taken into consideration.

He also wanted a job in the library

And you get another basic fact wrong..

How many times was it that Sunderland have finished above the Mags in the last 30 odd years? 3 did I hear you say?

football only began in 1992

One of those Tim Krul? How far have your standards fallen for you to rate him as "brilliant"? Clearly your lack of seeing any decent Centre Half's for the past 10 years has led you to rate Coloccini far higher than he actually is. You will not get 10mil for him in this market.

Watch Coloccini when WBA score their 2nd goal.

He turns his back on the striker as he always does .......... no decent club would sign him unless they're after a 'curly perm eleven' mangaged by daft little Kev.

i cannot name the exact games but hasnt coloccini dropped quite a few bollocks this season?

sure ive seen him at fault for loads of the goals theyve let in

Takes the piss for two year, sees us relegated, then suddenly pulls out the decent performances when he knows his contract is expiring and he's in the shop window.

Beware anyone trying to sign him. Once he gets his final payday, he'll put his feet up.
