Re: newcastles 2 best players leaving next season

barton and enrique
will struggle badly next season
if the reports are true about a 25000 - 30000 wage cap at the club, no top players will sign for that.
most of newcastles best and most productive play comes down the left from enrique and through barton knocking the ball about
what a pickle

Barton plays in the middle for them, or on the right...

Barton was willing to drop £20k p/w off his salary in return for a career deal but club have been wanting to offer him to half his coin on a shorter deal. (from a talk in he had at the Hilton)

His agent, Willy McKay, is a total kernt like so anything is possible.

I think that is one thing we can all agree on

Re: Jake51

Howay then, where ya at today? what do you make of the inevitable Barton and Enrique exits and a very probable laclustre Newcastle United transfer 'ins' summer.

Sorry forgot, your 'not bothered'

Hi :-D Told you I was loved on here, this is the second thread that's been started in a week about me that I've seen, I bet a couple more have been merged and/or gone unnoticed too.

Barton - McKay (a c#nt) is being a c#nt. Nothing new here. He's just posturing to try and get a better deal for Barton, and more importantly himself. If he does leave he'll be a massive loss, but he definitely isn't worth the money he's on now. I still expect him to sign a new contract before this time next year though.

Jose - I've expected him to leave for a while, he's one of the top 3 LB's in the league and he's developed faster than the club. I'd be over the moon if we can hang on to him but he deserves international recognition and CL football so I wouldn't begrudge him a move.

Very probable lacklustre (or laclustre if your makem's) ins - It's not exactly very probable, possible yes, but there's still the full summer to go. I'm optimistic we'll have strengthened our attack force come 1st September and found a good replacement for Jose if he is indeed off.

Also, I suggest you begin to worry about your own problems this summer before our's. You've a number of holes to fill yourselves. 5/6(?) loan player, Zenden might be off, that Darren Bent shaped hole up front. You're going to have to spend a considerable amount just to stand still which is going to be hard on top of the £30m losses you're already making annually.

Getting this transfer window 'right' is equally vital to the future of both clubs.

Instant balls up. I stopped there.

Correction cock.

McKay's just said Barton will only leave to go to a 'top club'.

Also said the only way he'd stay at NUFC is if new owners came in.

Sounds a bit Steven Taylor ish. I think he'll end up getting a new contract, his agent is infamous for this stuff.

luke edwards (mag journo on twitter) he thinks it could be a stumble along the way to signing one like steven taylor. They are clutching at straws like  it is massive for them he stays, been quality for them.

Next summer will be hard for Newcastle with Enrique, Barton, Smith leaving on a free and with the likes of Harper, Nolan, Colo, Lovenkrands, Ameobi, Williamson having no resale value. Not to mention Pardew's record of having good starts at clubs and then failing miserably.

To start with, the day Alan Smith leaves will be cause for celebration. I'd pay off his contract now tbh.
Barton is no way certain to leave, regardless of what Willie says.
Harper, Lovenkrands, Ameobi and Williamson cost a total of £1m. We already have two brilliant young keepers to step up when Harper leaves, Shola and Loven will be no great miss and Williamson won't be leaving soon and he's been great value for money tbf.
But Colo, no resale value? He's one of the top CB's in this league man.
