Barton leaving mags

Why would they say he's not going to be staying when he's got 12 months left, i thought they would of tried to keep it quite and get a transfer fee out of it.

I don't think he'll leave he's one of there most influential players, also didn't he say he'd take a cut in wages.

I think they would have except tha McKay has pre-empted it - he may be a cunt but he'll get the most coin for himself (and if Barton ends up with more then so be it).

A mag at work was at some awards thingy last week and Barton said that the club have offered him a new deal but it was a 1/3 of the coin he is on currently. Straight from the horses gob tha'run.

He was superb last season - genuinely think he's one of the best players out of the top 4.

I'd hate to see him here though.

From what I remember, and I can't remember who it was telling me, Barton was "willing" to take a paycut but with the guarantee of a longterm contract (5 year) whereas the club were only willing to offer him a short term contract but also cut his pay. Makes sense Barton would tell them to fuck off, given Tiote has recently been given that 6 year deal. He's been good, but Barton's been better. Its an age/value thing, obviously.

The opposite of what I've heard. I hear is he's a bit of a windup on the pitch but a decent family bloke off it. Certainly not been involved in the type of shite Barton has, or at least not that I'm aware of.

He is a bell end like. Three seperate assault charges. And that doesn't include the one he got let off with when he allegedly smakcked two lasses in Cardiff.

The actions of a bell end IMO.

Don't no but my brother lives down Liverpool and the rumours have been rife down there for a while that he would be joining them,it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

More likely to join Everton if Rodwell moves to Utd and yes he is a boyhood Everton fan

Howay then, where ya at today? what do you make of the inevitable Barton and Enrique exits and a very probable laclustre Newcastle United transfer 'ins' summer.

Sorry forgot, your 'not bothered'

He's a twat no doubt about it, personally I despise him as a human being and think he should never be allowed near a football pitch or allowed to earn what he does. I know lads with a few drunk and disorderly charges and can't get a job because of them. Why should he be any different?

This is where it gets tricky. On current form and the fact that he's at his peak he would walk into our current midfield on the basis that he can do two fundamental things a midfield player should do and our lot seem to lack - create and tackle. So for that if he signed for us I would still hate him but we'd be a fair bit better in the middle so I'd be happier.

Anyway all of that is irrelevant because he's either staying at the mags til his contract is up when he'll end up at Liverpool, Everton or someone of that ilk or the mags will give him improved terms smashing their wage structure and disgruntling their entire squad resulting in relegation.

So nobody with a drunk and disorderly charge should be allowed a job?

Barton was willing to drop £20k p/w off his salary in return for a career deal but club have been wanting to offer him to half his coin on a shorter deal. (from a talk in he had at the Hilton)

His agent, Willy McKay, is a total kernt like so anything is possible.
