Enabling attitudes is part of the reason why crime is on the increase. Supposedly Decent people defending the bad behavior of others, largely for social media clout and likes.

Never know what's worse with these type of posts, the vigilantes, or the people moaning about it who've never been to Poundzone and never will go.

The worst of social media. Don't really agree with the picture but he doesn't deserve sympathy neither, he's a thief. Hard off or not there's plenty other people in the same position, plenty no doubt worse, they won't be going robbing.

Both as bad as each other and both scummy behaviour.

indeed, he did wrong, got caught and banned surely that was job done when the police didn't want to know, the whole Facebook thing was just fishing for likes, shop trying to be clever, social media is the pits like, getting worse.

We dont have any context, maybe he is too ashamed to ask for help, seeing that post could send him over the edge, we just dont know, its why we have the police and courts to deal with this kind of thing, not trial by Facebook.
I mean how would people feel if he topped himself over it, we have seen people doing it over social media before, its why I got a bee in my bonnet over it.

Aye totally agreed it's the worst of it and there's so much of it.

It's same with the pedo hunters which there seems to be about 100 lately, like fair play them doing it, I really don't have an issue with it. Then they post a video humiliating them, showing their house of their no doubt innocent family who get involved for no reason at all and it just ruins anything good they done.

Those security nutjobs need locking up though mind. Sick of that crap lately.

I don't think that's true. People are merely raising their discomfort that someone, who is very likely struggling to get by, is being vilified on social media for attempting to steal a couple of quid's worth of gear. It's poverty-porn on social media.

Society is rammed full of enablers. It’s a by-product of social media. Decent people hungry for likes and playing down other peoples bad behaviour in a bid to appear more righteous.

All it does, in turn, is encourage people to behave even worse.

it’s part of the reason why crime, poor ettiquette and the like is rife in society, because a large % of people humour & enable it. Effectively promoting it.

Everytime a video or picture surfaces of some nutter or scruff being terrible it’s a competition who can get in first with “aH bUt tHeY hAvE nO MoNeyYs” or “AhHH tHiNk of TheIR MeNtAL HeALfs”

I don't think I've seen anyone defend the theft. What people have commented on, both on here and apparently FB, is the vindictive shaming of the bloke. PZ has form for this; I've seen other instances on their FB page where people join a frenzy of poking fun at the offender, usually mocking their physical appearance. Report the theft to the police, maybe even stick their mugshot up in the shop on a "not welcome here" board.

They talk about how people are struggling and how they are looking out for the little man then do something like this. No compassion whatsoever. If they really want to punish him then send him off with a multipack of Monster Claws.

Last week there was a pic on social media where someone was kicking off & had left a note berating the c•nt who had stolen some second hand premature baby clothes whilst they had been intensive care with their newborn twins. I mean how low can you get???

Yet first reply from joe public was along the lines of “i FeEl sO sOrrY 4 The PErsON wHo hAD tO TaKe ThEsE” :lol:

you still here banging on, thought you didn't want to derail the thread further...

anyway had a look a PZ Facebook page, Christ you would have to be really desperate to go stealing in there, its just full of crap, didn't see a single healthy item, unless stuffing your face with cheap pop and chocolates now classed as healthy, no wonder it doesn't go out of date with all the E numbers hehe.
