Honey Mustard ones are the boyo. I have two big bags at home. Both half eaten. Make of that what you will.

There was one used to come into The Angel in Durham in the 70's

I like a few nibbles with my pint.
Present day = Good quality cheese and chive crisps.
In the distant past = Salted nuts, pork scratchings, pickled eggs and the occasional toasty.

Sitting in the Tam O'Shanter now (in Dumfries - only pub in town that sells Stowford Press). They always have a constant supply of no frills snacks for folk to pick at. Sausage rolls, crisps, nuts, cheese and pickled onion on sticks, little mini Swiss rolls... heaven

Nachos / Tortilla Chips

Went for a pint round a trendy part of town last night and the bar snack options were:

- Ox cheek nuggets
- Mini cheese & charcuterie board

Apart from questioning where it all went wrong - got me thinking about the best bar snacks going? For me:

1. Proper pretzels in Munich
2. Snyder jalapeno bites
3. A good Scotch egg with mustard

Im sorry but to question where it went wrong then to mention this absolute shambles makes a complete mockery of your post.

he ones from latimers are lovely
Can only eat about half a dozen as they are so rich

Also in Whitby this week and had fortunes kippers 3 times
Again bloody lovely taste and texture not like those jurdee kippers from craster that are too strong

especially a small chorizo sausage on some soft white cheese.

I quite enjoy frickles (deep fried gherkins and pickled onions). They seemed fairly popular a couple of years back.
