Favourite bar snack I have had was a shared plate of German sausage in a pub in borough market in London Bridge

In the US a great mix of peanuts and chocolate flakes worked well

Having said this, packets of planters peanuts does the job

Where in the US mate, New York, New York?

How about fresh mild peppers/chili fried-lightly-type, could be okay..padron or serrano, or something? No pickley stuff or those pretzel dehydrated dust sweepings

+ English greenhouse tomatoes, with salt

Just something easy and not full of pastry or coming in plastic moulded tray on the bottom or anything

Last Sunday the list of stuff on our table was:

Silverskins
Black Pudding
Bavarian Bratwurst
Red Hot Dutch Cheese
Extra Mature Cheddar
Pork Scratchings

Went for a pint round a trendy part of town last night and the bar snack options were:

- Ox cheek nuggets
- Mini cheese & charcuterie board

Apart from questioning where it all went wrong - got me thinking about the best bar snacks going? For me:

1. Proper pretzels in Munich
2. Snyder jalapeno bites
3. A good Scotch egg with mustard
Where was this down Hendon
Ox cheek nuggets

The last bag of 'Big D' nuts in the 1970s. Anybody who says anything else is a botter.
These were the muts nuts

Cold squid and octopus (with a bit chilli) from Lattimers are lusharooney.
Smoked mussels

A bag of worms?
Dry roasted salted worms with a pint of worm beer
