Pay cheques and cash into accounts.
I know this may have cropped up on here before I joined as it been about sine 2015 but

Depending on who you bank with, there could be delays in the funds hitting your main bank account.

Think if you pay cash in at the PO then it gets there the same day for Barclays, NatWest/RBS takes up to 3 days

I found this little nugget out once I started my new job and got paid in cash, especially good as I'm with hsbc and they closed down our local branch. It's a pain you can't pay in money to an account without a card tho

Santander is instant at PO. It results from a legacy arrangement with Alliance and Leicester before they were amalgamated

Don't really remember the last time I needed cash. The nearby Vietnamese and poke take away places are card only.

The only place I’ve needed cash in the last 6 months has been 60p for a twix from the office vending machine.
