Why on earth have the Bangles decided to bat first? They need to beat Pakistan by a decent margin in order to finish ahead of them in the group on run rate so surely it would have made more sense for them to chase knowing exactly how fast they needed to score.

Having said that they're off to a decent start, 37 for 1 off 4 overs but I suspect they'll lose wickets quickly as they take what may be unneccessary risks.

Well they are making a decent game of it.

If they get up up to 170 they will be doing very well. Can't see them bowling PAK for under 130ish though.

106 for 2 after 12 overs. They've taken a liking to Umar Gul's bowling - he's gone for 29 off his 2 overs.

Flooding today Bri down road :-)

Bloody hell. Didn't realise you had it that bad. Have you got sandbags all around your house? No problems to report in SR6. 8-)

Bangladesh need to win by 32 or more runs to go through.

Can't see them bowling Pakistan out for under 143, especially as they're already 43 without loss after 4 overs.

I don't look daft enough to buy a house next to running water do I? ;-)

Maybe I do :-)

No comment. Has pissed down all day here but I can still see the ground.

As for the cricket, a comfortable win for Pakistan. In the end I doubt it mattered whether Bangladesh batted first or second.
