Quite a lot I’d imagine, plus we don’t have a young centre back that’s close to first team football.
If we still had Tom Beadling I’d be happy.

Based on nowt more than a hunch, I reckon we'll settle on a Baldwin-Flanagan pairing

bit unfair on the lad, didnt do much wrong second half v Charlton and Loovens was no better really. But i guess its ok to judge players after 30 mins

You can see in less than 30 mins, touch on the ball, pace, positioning etc. I won't write him off yet as I think of Kirchhoff on his debut but didn't he do well after when he was fit anyway. This boy needs a bit of work on him but Baldwin is a better option already he's more mobile and when Loovens gets fitter by the week they could make a good pairing.

Football is all about building partnerships...if we look at successful sunderland sides...Quinny & Philips, Makin & sumerbee, Gray & Johnston, Gates and Marco, McCartney and Arca. We need the new lads to settle in and build up some understanding.
