His action is very suspect.It looks as if he throws the ball.
His arm is clearly bent when the ball leaves his hand.

The umpires are neutral.

Suspect actions aren't called on the field. Umpires report suspicions to ICC who then investigate further. Never thought there was anything suspect about Patel's action when at Durham nor now. Slingy,perhaps, but that's all imo.

But anyway, I haven't studied his action but didn't see anything odd in the last test. Having a bent arm doesn't mean you're chucking, e.g. Murali, Malinga

Agree. I can think of a Durham overseas bowler who did have a dodgy action - but it wasnt Patel.
