Is it possible to play videos/music from a USB stick on an oldish TV which doesn't have a USB port?

I've looked online to see if there's a USB output to HDMI input adapter but I've had no joy.

Any techie people on here got any ideas?

Problem you have is the USB stick is just a lump of files, there is no player installed.

Probably not, unless you're VERY lucky.

RPi for £40 solves the problem AND gives you Kodi.

Not a f***ing hope without, as said, an android box. No USB port means no hardware installed to play files from it.
