Ah well, shame we couldn't get back to back wins.

Scoring over 300 has to be a positive, don't think we've done it too many times recently?

Ian Bell with a tremendous hundred, just proving how good of a player he is and a much better pick than the slogger Hales.

Who cares if he's a slogger? He is an effective ODI and T20 batsman.

Bopara needs dropping for Ballance IMO

Taylor batting too high too.

We haven't got the bowlers imho, said it before we lack the x-factor. All fast-medium bowlers who do the same thing, more or less.

I told you years ago, there was more to Tim Bresnans game than Ravi's over two formats and guess which wonder boy still gets picked and guess which one has to make do plodding on for Yorkshire??

Bresnan hasn't pulled up any trees since being dropped.

If Ali is going to play and bowl 10 overs then I guess Tredders is carrying the drinks for the series. Perhaps a second spinner might be the way to go, possibly even opening the bowling with one of the spinners as a variety option? Our seamers are very same-like and are well known bowlers around the World.

We'll qualify from the group (this WC is designed for most big teams to do that) but after that we'll need a lot of luck and some amazing individual performances to go any further. It can happen but we all know that it won't!

And call up who? The lefty from Notts was crap, there's nobody with express pace. Maybe should have had Tredwell in at hobart but there's not a lot of options.

I covered this earlier. Drop Woakes for maybe Tredwell or someone who can bat. Open with Finn and Anderson. Could even take a punt at a wildcard spin option like Adil Rashid - who can also hold a bat.

Ben Stokes to bat higher and bowl 4/5 overs even?

Whatever they think they should not drop either Broad or Anderson. At this stage having just returned from injury they need overs under their belt and even though they may not be at their best right now more bowling can only help them.

I know several pundits are saying Tredwell and if so the alternatives are to drop either Bopara or Woakes. For me I'd keep whichever they think would add to the batting strength more, which I guess means keeping Bopara although I think Woakes has actually done well bowling in recent games........ Illogically lose your better bowler to keep a not very good batsman.
