Australia in Lockdown . ......news

these lockdowns are simply to encourage the vaccination rate

the misinformation is increasing and the public war drums are getting louder

an example would be that in NSW they said that they were 30 people at a party and 24 got the virus because 6 were vaccinated

yet they have said that the vaccination just stops you carking it but not getting it or spreading it

beginning to look more like a sham everyday

perhaps something to do with the amount of money that stays in the country if people cannot travel

the amount of money staying in Australia is 5 times more than if the borders were open internationally.

trouble ahead for sure.

…but what about the huge income from tourism they’re missing out on?

People are desperately searching for any underhanded reason why there’s a lockdown but the truth is, there isn’t one.

The only reason we have lockdowns is to prevent the spread of the virus. There’s no conspiracy bubbling away under the surface, just waiting to be uncovered.

This lockdown does seem severe for the number of cases, but locking down early does get it under control quicker. We locked down far too late and we have had over 6 months of this now.

Longer term it would be interesting to look at the strategies other countries used. I’ve wondered a few times what would have happened if we had regular 2 week lockdowns. Say 6 weeks normal, 2 weeks to knock cases back and recover. Businesses could cope better if predictable. The lockdown ends would have been regular so none of the big freedom parties. With lockdown just being 2 weeks with an end in sight, we might have had greater compliance. I’m not aware of anyone having tried that.
