Nowt new there then

That is our record Average Season Attendance (whilst in the 2nd Div and was a league record for many years). Yours is 47,785 which we've bettered numerous times. Our official record league attendance is 68,386 and cup is 67,596. Your cup record is 75,118, can't find your record league attendance

These are official figures however creative accounting was rife and contemporary reports suggest that these figures are 1,000's, perhaps several thousand, short.

Make of that what you will. I make of it that despite having the bigger ground for most of the time that when it comes to filling it you are a pretty poor 2nd to us.

Over the course of time 10,000,000 more fans have attended at SJP despite Safc being the older club. When Safc were winning titles Nufc had the higher average of the two.

Your record low average is also lower than Nufc.

Still; you are a well supported club.

TBF at Roker Park there was a sizable amount never paid in  (im sure it was the same at the Wonga?)
Attendances mean nowt look at Arsenal 60,000 every week yet thousands of empty seats!
NUFC & SAFC have huge support considering the lack of trophies its a disgrace that neither team have since 73!

This sums up this whole thing brilliantly. People always remember when a small club has success! :) ;)

aye, that small club with 6 {six} top tier trophies - not many have beaten that OR the longest consecutive run of seasons in the top tier - only 2 have beaten it so far Arsenal {and that is dodgy because of what happened after WW1] and Everton who have only just passed us. mags on other hand way way behind. Shall I go on about anything else like how newcastle 'begged' us to play friendlies with them to keep them in business ?? Nah, you wouldnt want to know the truth - hurts too much.

Talk about scraping the barrel.

Anyway, the original stat I had given was that Sunderland's highest ever attendance was 75,118, yours has now been rectified at 68,386. I see we bettered you then aswell.

Go away you little minnow, Newcastle United are like little Jack Russell dogs, keep yapping away and just need to keep getting pushed off until they get bored.

Fuck me, how many of these inbred throwbacks are on our forum ?

Seems like they are trying to convince themselves and themselves only that they have 'Schooled' us when they evidently haven't
