No need for that. We only sold 800 for Shrewsbury away and our average gate is 3 times what Rotherham's is. If they bring 700 then fair play to those who travelled.
I was at that game, and it's twice the distance in a less meaningful game. Nowt against those that travel, absolutely they're real fans, but they're on for promotion tomorrow night, it should be twice that number.

I hope he gets a great performance and gets the buzz. Night games are different for some reason. I loved night matches at Roker Park.

Aye I love a night game like.. Shame there won't be a lower bowl sell out.. Thought there would have been. It'll be a class atmosphere nonetheless

They yo-yo between the two leagues constantly. They go up, then come straight back down again. It's what they do. Probably not a big deal to them. In fact it definitely isn't othwrwise they would be bringing more fans.

Bit of a different in size of fanbase between us and Rotherham as well. Added to that we will have far more exiles dotted around the country than they will. Just don't get the point in belittling their support. We've taken plenty of 3 figure away followings in this league, especially midweek, but what does it matter? Fair play to those who spend their time and money supporting.
Tbh you're using a much further journey with similar numbers as a barometer, it's not particularly a good comparison

Our support is on a completely different level to Rotherhams, plus we have fans spread across the country. Don't remember giving oursleves loads of stick for only taking 800, it was more like backpatting those who bothered, which should work the same way for Rotherham. It's midweek, and they are a small club, from a small town with a small fanbase. I'd also imagine that loads of people in Rotherham will support either of the Sheffield clubs plus you'll have the Premier League hangers on.

Sounds like they’ll bring 1500 which is good for a club with a smaller fan base like Rotherham.

They’ve also got Gillingham away this week which is a pain in the arse to get to. It’s an expensive week for fans doing both games, especially with bills rocketing. If this was a Saturday game I imagine they’d bring at least another thousand.
