He was there, he just said that the coppers will have kept them in downstairs and wouldn't have let hundreds of safc out without an escort.
Basically thinking my mates were lying .

Not sure about shocking tho shints, not sure how anyone could sit and watch the team they love ripped apart by your lot!![/QUOTE]

each to there own mate but i would personally stay to the end, whatever was happening. Basically I would never want to give yous the satisfaction of watching me leave that early. The sight of hundreds streaming out as early as yous did was more rewarding than the goals flying in.

Not taking the piss mate but its hard to take the ' sunlan till i die ' chants seriously when more than half desert there team in a derby game.

not quite the same is it

perhaps not but the sight of hundreds of safc heading for the exits way before the end of the game was priceless:lol::lol:

sun'lun till i die (unless we are getting heavily beaten);)

People were leaving right up till about 10/15 mins to go, this was when they then stopped anyone else from leaving the ground

Left after the 4th goal with countless others. I went right past the Black Bull everyone else seemed to go left toward the station. Coppers just stood and watched it all happen. Couldn't believe it myself.

Shocking?

Fuck off, that day they didn't deserve our support, they had all our faith, pride and hope stored in them and they folded like little boys

At least we turned up, those representing us on the pitch didnt

you cant just decide when your team deserves your support or not. Especially in a derby in front of 50,000 of your hated fans. Thats what being a supporter is about the rougth with the smooth.

f***ing man up and support your team regardless.

15,000 at home pre 92?

Is that what you meant about "the rough with the smooth"?

Knob.

Fuck off, the game where we needed them most and the game where they get the most support they'll get from anywhere they wimpered out

If they were on the pitch battling and giving it their everything I would have stood there til the final whistle, but it wasn't like that, infact it was the complete opposite, they let you walk all over us

Disgusting performance

when in doubt regurgiate the pre 1992 attendance figures. What the fuck has that got to do with your fans embarrasing departure at a derby game.

Sunderland till I die. ha ha right oh

I thought you were talking about supporting your team through bad times....

Where the fuck were you all in the bad times?

Or does that rule only apply to SAFC supporters?

Hypocrisy at its worst.

granted mate, the above is all true.

However ask yourself what would you do if hundreds of our lot streamed out at half time on sunday ? You'd be creaming yourself and we would never hear the end of it and rightly so.

Never ever in front of your most hated rivals should you just cave in and walk out. I'd rather take the grief and sit through it.

not turning up in the first place is not the same thing as f***ing off home at half time because your losing 3-0 and providing your greatest rivals with endless ammo

I admire your way of trying to turn this round but im not going to let you ignore the point.

You can bleat on again as much as you want about the pre 92 attendances ( all of which were still better than yours by the way ) but the thread and argument remains about your so called loyal supporters deserting your team in a derby in front of the home fans.

It was desertion of the highest order. People got shot for it in wartime. If you were at the game and manned it out fair play but if you got up and walked out its shamefull

police seemed happy for us to leave at half time.

about 80 in our group.

tried to put us in bodegas pub but we decided to have a wander round toon before getting the metro home.

My Geordie mate says that no fans were allowed to leave at half time at st James park, which I know a few of the lads did. We nearly ended up fighting about it on Friday night!
A few of my mates left and they said that there were loads of sunland leaving with no bother, and they even stopped for a pint at one of the pubs on the way back.

If it was desertion and you should be shot for it i assume you'll be organising a firing squad for the 10,000 that have "deserted" NUFC this season?

again mate stop swerving the issue of deserting during a derby.

and haway, the 10,000 comeback is a bit rich from a sunderland fan. 20,000 deserted yous on saturday if you want to look at it that way

Your home attendance for your last cup game was also down 20,000.

Hypocrisy is your middle name isnt it?
