+++ Aston Villa v Man City kick off 2015 Amazon Prime +++

Leon Bailey is unplayable on his day
He was sensational tonight, must admit I never knew he had that in him.
City's squad isn't as good as it was last season without Gundogan, Mahrez, Laporte etc. Also KDB injury was clearly a huge blow

I don't see what Rico Lewis is good at either
I'm glad someone else can't see what Rico Lewis brings to the team, I thought it was just me.

I just looked in terms of net spend, 6th apparently over the last 5 years. Which was a surprise.

Not blood money though I suppose
That’s true and they’ve spent what they have very well
Its top 5 this year most likely
They’ll have to sort their away form out to be anywhere near top 5 they’ve only got 5pts from 6 away games and scored 13 … 9 of which came against a Sunday Morning standard Sheff Utd

No doubt Everton will make them look like 1970s Brazil tonight

Always comes across as a really nice bloke too.
Considering the sh*t he got from the press and fans when he first arrived in the UK he's handled himself very elegantly. I thought this from the moment he mocked himself in an interview saying "good ebening" with a big smile on his face. Top bloke.

Glad the mags didn’t get Emery
Might have been totally different outcome. He was poor at Arsenal. Seems Villa is a perfect fit. It happens. They are playing well, really well at home. Top 6 race going to be very interesting, especially is City continue to be ordinary by their usual standards.
Remember when a decent amount of posters on this board were claiming McGeouch was the better player of the two :lol:
I remember when Bruce was supposed to be after him for Newcastle. I was a nay sayer. Got that one wrong. Playing really, really well.

Don't think he was poor at Arsenal. Didn't they go on a 20+ undefeated streak and reach a European Cup final in his first season. Undeniably it wasn't going well the following season, and i reckon it had as much to do with off field politics at the club in a post Wenger world as much as anything to do with the on-field side of things.
